![]() ![]() They don't seem to ever let in any water, or much cold air, so I leave them open all summer, and only close them when the daily highs drop to the point that I don't need any venting at all. Opening and closing the rear vents must be done with the suit at least partway off, unless you have someone else to do it for you. The pockets are standard size if you wish to upgrade. It still looks like new when it’s clean (which is rare – I’m always dirty). I’ve washed it a handful of times, and replenish the DWR once a season. I’ve slid on dirt a few times with no tears or major wear. The knee armor sits in a very long pocket, with Velcro adjustment for height. I usually wear 29x34” jeans, and found the un-hemmed Medium to be perfect in the legs. The legs on this suit have the zippers end about 4” above the cuff, and come with a inseam about 4” longer than normal, allowing for easy at-home hemming of the cuffs for a perfect fit. I could have gone Small on the upper body, but I really wanted the leg length of the Medium. At 5’11”, 150lb with a 34” inseam (very competitive cyclist and distance runner, for a mental image), I use all the adjustment on my size M suit. The waist and elbows have Velcro straps for cinching the suit snug in those critical areas. Every now and then the leg Velcro will stick together while the suit is hanging and my foot gets stuck going in, but it’s just a matter of reaching down and yanking the leg open. It's hardly slower than just a jacket, and hugely faster than a pants/jacket combo. I have one traffic light and one block of city traffic to get out of town, and then there’s literally not even a single stop sign all the way home for me to sit in the heat and bake. But on average, I’m on those shaded roads doing 60-70mph, which means lots of cool air moving over the suit. There’s a little dirt (a lot, when I have the time to take the long way home), and I’ve done a fair bit of superslab as well. My normal ride is my commute: 25+ miles of mostly paved, tree-lined two-lane with almost nil traffic, and 40-55mph speed limits that I grossly exceed. The WRR is also a small-displacement water-cooled bike that doesn’t pump out much heat. ![]() On a ‘Wing or dresser, you’ll be moving a lot less air in and around the suit. Riding in completely clean air on the WRR means that venting is incredibly effective, and also that I rely on my suit 100% for waterproofness and wind protection. I ride a WR250R most of the time, although I put a decent number of miles on this suit on a GSX-R 600, Versys 650, and CRF250L.
